But to have a new section open for each day selected is going to require that use write code to insert a new group (of XML code) into your repeating group. The same will be true for showing a new cost field for each expense selected.

There should be information within the forums or the public newsgrups that should lead you in the right direction for manually inserting XML into your DOM. Good luck!

Re: Conditional formatting with sections?

quote:

Conditional visibility on sections works--double check the on/off values your check box is using compared to the values you are trying to use in your conditional formatting expression.

I knew it had to work. I don't know what I was doing, but I figured it out. I was wondering if what I described is the easiest way to go about it. I want the user to choose a Day, then I want a section of Expenses to come up, and then if the user chooses an expense, I want a Cost field to show up next to the expense field. (I am doing this all in sectioned check boxes). I need this to repeat itself everytime a Day is chosen; the same options. Is that where the repeating section choice comes in? I don't know how it will know to name the fields differently so it corresponds to each day.

Re: Conditional formatting with sections?

Conditional visibility on sections works--double check the on/off values your check box is using compared to the values you are trying to use in your conditional formatting expression.

Conditional formatting with sections?

How come when I try to conditional format (hide) a whole section (so only when "Monday" is checked, it will show up), it won't let me? You can only do individual fields? I was trying to put it in a section so "Cost" would show next to the field. Is this normal?
