This article explains it for SQL but the principles are the same as for Access (since both are using the same ODBC data connection wizard in InfoPath). Look closely on the last screen to confirm that submit is enable for that data connection.
<br /http://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=d2e829ea745e4679b55e24b12017e092

What you need to do is design a new form from the Main access table and ensure that submit is allowed for that connection. Then you can have additional secondary look ups for the other two tables to populate dropdown which store into the right node in the Main datasource. Then add a submit button and it should then let you submit the selection to the Main table.

Re: Data from different tables into a single one.

Hi Dalmag,
Dont design the form using "Design from a data source".
Create a "new blank form" instead. This will enable u to fetch data from multiple tables and insert in another one.
And u need to use a web service to finally submit data to the Main Table.

Regards,
Abhishek

Data from different tables into a single one.

Hi!

I'm workin' on an Infopath application connected to an SQL Server Database in which I've got three tables: Users, applications and type of permissions for each application. The fact is that I want to chose some columns from each of those three tables (user_Id, permissions and application_Id) and store them into a single one (called Main Table). What I've just done is start designing a form and chose "Design From Data Source" on the right menu and design it with the wizard. The table in which I want to store data has as primary key UserId-ApplicationId.
All the user has to do is writing its Id (in the query view I guess) and then he will be able to add/modify permissions for each application. But hen I don't know hoy to send that data from those three tables to the main one since each control is bind from the begginning to one of the first three tables. I added combo boxes in which the main data source is my Main Table (in order I could store the data from that control on that table when I add a submit button) and assigned as a secondary data source for each combo the data from each table but when I add a submit button it doesn't has the option to submit to a data base (even when my Main Table has a primary key), but for example, to a web service... I guess this is not the best way, that's why I'm asking for help, I'm just learning Infopath and will really appreciate your comments.

Thanks!!!
