When the user reopens the form and changes status to Completed/Close, create an OnAfterChange handler that compares current time to submitted time and displays the difference. This will require a little coding but is pretty easy. The out-of-box samples that ship with InfoPath have some JS code that manipulates dates. Check out the Absence Request solution for some ideas.

How to create a timer for an InfoPath form?

Hi, I am trying to create a trouble ticket system that will help me keep track of tech support calls, then after I enter each "trouble ticket" I submit it to a database. I would like to know if there is a way to create a timer that would activate when the form is submitted to the database, and would stop when I reopen the ticket and change the Status to Completed/Closed. I would also like the length displayed at that point, or it could keep a continious count.

I know what I am wanting is probably a very long process, but I would like to learn how to do it if there is a way.

Thank you very much,
Ryan
