There is a rule on field 1 to set field 2. One thing to note - rules only run if the field the rule is on changes. So if the user changes field 2 to XYZ it is not going to change back to ABC. But if the user changes field 1 from 1 to 2, then back to 1 again, it will get reset to ABC. Just something to keep in mind.
