See if these steps help:

1. Double-click the text box
2. Click the function button beside the default value field
3. Click Insert Field or Group
4. Expand your secondary data source to the customer name
5. Click the Data Filter button on the bottom left of the Select a Field or Group dialog box
6. Choose the ClientCode node in the first drop-down, equals in the second drop-down, and Select a Field or Group from the third drop-down
7. In the dialog box that pops up, go back to your Main DOM and choose the node that the ClientCode drop-down is bound to.
8. Click OK about 8 times.

Hope this helps!

Simple Query/Populate Issue

I have a secondary data connection to a Windows SharePoint Site List. I would like to have a drop box list all of the client codes in one column of the list and upon a user selecting a client code, the name appears (which is in another column in the list) in a text box to the right of the drop list. I am sure this can be done without coding buttons and stuff. I just want the user to be able to make a selection and the corresponding name to appear.

So far, i have been able to make the first line of the name column appear, but not the proper name (when I different code is selected).

Thank you for any assistance you can offer this InfoPath Rookie.
