I think there have been a few postings that use code, but for the majority of us non-coders a solution would really make the InfoPath form much more useful. A solution would be an excellent holiday gift to us all! Thanks.

Re: Dealing With Character Limitations???

I am having the same issue....Have you found a work around for this problem. It's my understanding if you want to input more than 255 characters into a filed you must use a Memo field.

InfoPath does not support long data types and Memo fields are long data types. So if you try to bind a text box in InfoPath toa Memo filed in the Access databse, you get an error message - long data types not supported.

I'm trying to figure out a way around this.

Re: Dealing With Character Limitations???

Hi Dave, Welcome to the Forum!
If you can increase the size of the field in the database then take connection to that table again, then you should be able to accept more than 256 characters.

Dealing With Character Limitations???

I have an InfoPath form that submits data to an Access database.
