I used the secondary data source and edited it slightly. The only problem I'm seeming to run into is on weekdays (M-F) when Craig leaves at 14:30, and until 15:30, it isn't populating any employee. However, when Desmond/Bryan leave at 15:30, it populates correctly with Bob taking over until he leaves at 16:30. Any insight into this? I've attached the schedule.

Re: InfoPath Help.

The data is in an XML file. I'm not sure how the "secondary" person is supposed to work - I just added my best guess. Right now the formatting rules are set to highlight rows rather than hide them, so you can see what rule is doing what. :)

Re: InfoPath Help.

I started re-working your form w/ an XML data source, but haven't had a chance to finish that yet. How often do these schedules change? If they change frequently, I'd probably use a SharePoint list for the secondary data. There are lots of tutorials online for getting data from a list in InfoPath - so you may want to take a look at one of those. I took another look at it, and it seems like with this approach you are going to end up with a TON of these sections. Wouldn't it be easier to have this info in a secondary data source, and just have a rule to hide rows that don't apply?

Re: InfoPath Help.

That would be great, thanks.

Re: InfoPath Help.

I see. I can't do a blanket hiding of a section based on airport alone, because there are some situations where Desmond may have to respond to Madison because it's before Craig's shift starts, etc. So I was hoping to have the airport selection be the ultimate tie breaker. For instance, noon on Thursday, it could be Craig or Desmond - until Milwaukee is selected, then it's Desmond for sure. It's hard to explain.

Re: InfoPath Help.

I included airport in the formatting on the first section?

Re: InfoPath Help.

Thanks for the reply, Hilary. Do you have any idea how I could make it select the correct person(based on a sort of tiebreaker based on airport selected) that would choose the correct person if their days off and times work intersect.

For example, a call is placed on Thursday at 1200 in Milwaukee. The days off and shifts would allow for Bob, Craig, or Desmond to be selected, but I'd like it to choose Desmond, as he is located at the airport calling.

Re: InfoPath Help.

Okay, I only did the first section, and I set it to highlight instead of hide (so you can see how it would hide based on different day / time combos).
