If you need one to many relationships (sounds like you do!) you may want to use a library form instead. Create a new, blank InfoPath form from the Designer menu, and you'll see you can add repeating controls. Promote the fields you need to the library for your workflow.

Repeating Tables

Environment: Sharepoint online & Infopath 2013.
Background info: The objective is for a traveller to submit a travel request from which will be processed/workflowed to the person managing travels.
I created a Sharepoint list (Travel) with 3 columns: TravellerName, RequestDate, and Instructions. The travel request will also include additional data which have to be entered and these are TravelDate, Destination and Comments. This group will be repeating (it can be from 1 to many).
Question #1: From the various posts, I read that one solution to have this group is to have 'repeating tables'. Given the background info above, is repeating table recommended or are there other options?
Question #2: If I opt for repeating tables, do I create columns for TravelDate, Destination and Comments on the same Sharepoint list (Travel)? Which column type should I use?

If there are similar post which have been addressed/solved. Please share the link.

Thanks in advance
