Thanks for your answer.

1. I couldn't able to find the "Expression Box" in InfoPath 2013. I am using "SharePoint Form Library" template. Why "Expression Box" is not displaying under Advance controls ? Any idea ?
2. Number of columns will be changed based on the User filter value. So i can use your second approach.
3. I am retrieving the data from SharePoint 2013 library and display using repeating tables (bound with SharePoint library). My SharePoint library have several metrics values for each divisions. Users can select particular division or "All" divisions from drop-down list. based on the drop-down list value, i need to display the value for each metrics for selected divisions. Each users get different divisions in drop-down list based on their permission for that division. As you said, this is same as querying a secondary data source. So Only way is custom coding.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

Thank you in advance....

If you will have the same number of columns, but with different data in them, you could use different expression boxes for the headings, showing and hiding the right one based on the user's filter. But if you sometimes need to see more columns than others, you'll just have to make sure you have all the columns you need and add multiple table controls to the form, bound to the same table, showing / hiding as needed. Also - if you are querying a secondary data source and then want it in a repeating table bound to the main data source, you'll need to write code for that.

Repeating table with dynamic columns

Hi All,

I am currently working with InfoPath 2013 form which has repeating table. My requirement is, i have to change the column of repeating table based on the filer values given by User.

I am getting data from SharePoint library and display it in the form using Repeating table (Repeating table binds with SharePoint library). When i create the Repeating table, it asks how many columns. I couldn't able to achieve the dynamic column behavior.

is there any way i can complete this requirement using InfoPath repeating table ? or Any other suggestions ?

Thanks in advance.
