When adding the Set Field = UniqueID[trigger=line] to the business rule I realized that InfoPath/SharePoint is giving the column a different name than the display. So while it displays as "UniqueID" InfoPath sees it as "UniqueID0" -- hovering over the rest of the fields I was able to identify that all of the fields which aren't working for me have a "Display Name [Different name]" when you hover over the field. Setting it to the name in the square brackets allows it to work.

Figured I'd post here in case others have similar issues.

Submit to Web Service (Sharepoint List) fails, how can I see error message?

Hi all,

I used the excellent post from this site which talks about Codelessly cycling through a repeating table/section and submitting it to a SharePoint list.

I was able to get it to submit new records to the SharePoint list if I only used a subset of the available columns. The problem I'm running into, though, is that I have two columns in the sharePoint list that if I add to the XML and submit rules that the entire record fails to submit to the SharePoint list.

The columns are both Lookup columns to another table. I'm trying to pass the respective table's ID to the respective lookup column. This worked successfully for another Lookup column so I'm at a loss why it's not working for these two. If I remove both of these columns from the XML and Submission then it works perfectly. But I ultimately need both of these columns to be populated with data.

My confusion is that I don't get any error messages and everything appears to work correctly, so how can I troubleshoot this? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
