You pushed me in the right direction. I was unaware of the problems with having the link in secondary data. I ended up creating another column which was a Computed Column with a formula concatenating the necessary columns. Seems to be working quite well.

Appreciate the help on the matter.

Your repeating table is a secondary data source. Your hyperlink is bound to a field in your main data source. You'll see on the control a message that the control can't correctly repeat in its current location. Your secondary data connection uses DBXL - are you querying a SQL table or a view? Personally - I would query a SQL view and add the formula for the hyperlink to the view. Then from the "Insert" menu in InfoPath, you can add a hyperlink (not a hyperlink control) to the repeating table, with the DocID for the display, and your new hyperlink field for the link. Does that make sense?

Re: Referencing a relative cell in a repeating table using Current() function

Hi Hilary,

Thanks for the response. I believe I have attached the form. So the 'Doc' column needs to be a hyperlink to the actual document on SharePoint. The Document name is made up of "Doc ID", "Emp ID", and "Emp Name". I have created a default value on the hyperlink, however it is not referencing the relative cells in that row. It defaults to the first row or to blank. I hope that is clear...

Thanks,

Re: Referencing a relative cell in a repeating table using Current() function

You shouldn't have to use current to concat fields in a repeating group - if the field with the formula is also in the repeating group. I am creating a hyperlink column in a repeating table which is generated by a concatenation of cells in the relative row. From what I can find online, the function required is the 'Current()' function, however it is not working. It either continues to return blanks or returns just the first row of the repeating table. Columns A, B and C are all secondary data.

So columns:

| Hyperlink | A | B | C |
| concat(A1, B1, C1) | A1 | B1 | C1 |
| concat(A2, B2, C2) | A2 | B2 | C2 |
                 .... ... ... ...
etc.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
