I feel like it will just get longer and longer for it to query over time. Does anyone have any suggestions that might help the speed at all? Would creating a blank view with no fields and just the button to query help at all? then have it switch views or is the query tied to views and that wouldn't matter?

Re: Query certain fields in a repeating table in a sharepoint browser-based infopath form

To better understand what I'm trying to do i attached a screenshot am i going about this the wrong way?

I created a rule on the 2nd table (orange) - screenshot) on the field Ordered Quantity and said when fields changed aka when i type in it set the Ordered quantity field in the first table to the same value. I think the problem is though that the main data connection doesn't like to submit my new changes is there a rule or formula that can make the changes in the 2nd table submit to the items that show up when it queries the data? i tend to ramble when trying to explain things i don't know too much about sorry in advance.

And Just FYI the only reason i even created the 2nd data connection/repeating table is because it seems i cant just get the 9 fields in the original repeating table / main data connection to query those fields only and since i have so many column it takes like 2 minutes to load and sometimes you get an error while trying to just open the web-part the form is in. :(

Query certain fields in a repeating table in a sharepoint browser-based infopath form

Is it possible to only have 9 fields in a repeating table on an infopath form to only query for data when the form loads instead of it trying to query all 85 columns (fields) when only 9 show up on the actual form so it doesn't take 3-5 minutes to load the form?

I tried creating a data connection to the list and only picking the 9 fields and telling it to use that to query when the form loads, but my repeating table doesn't show line items when i use that data connect, only the main so am i missing something? if i disable the main data connection to query on load the form opens instantly so i assume its the large amount of columns that i have?

I have my repeating table to hide any items that don't equal to a drop down box, so that helps the view but in the background it still query's all the data for all 85 columns that is why i'm trying to see if there is a way to have it only query for the 9 fields/columns in the repeating table??

Any info would be great!
