One for just the customer name (and list ID) and then another with all the customer info. Set the data connection with just the customer name to sort by customer name. Set the data connection with all the customer info to not run when the form opens (if you want to minimize initial data load times) and then after the user selects a customer, you can set the query fields in the data connection with all the info to the selected customer, run the query, and get back just the selected customer's info. Or, you know, run both on load and just load lots of data, up to you. :)

Sort Order in Combo Box and Autofill possibility?

My company is having me make up a quote sheet for our standard products for our salespeople. Two requests that they had were the following:

1) Be able to choose a customer name from quotes that have been already entered and automatically populate other fields based on that customer
2) Have the customer name begin to autofill when typing a few letters because the list will eventually grow and grow as more quotes are entered

I have figured out how to do #1 using a data connection from Sharepoint to the list and use rules to filter out information for that specific entry. When making my data connection, I pick the fields I want to receive, but then I sort it by Created (descending) to get the most recent customer information (just in case the address, contact, etc. changed). This then also sorts the customer name in the order that quotes are created. Is there anyway to now sort the way customer name is listed in the combo box to be alphabetical as opposed to in the order the customer was created?

Doing some research online, it looks like it MAY be possible to do #2 but with code. I'm not very code savvy so any help there would be appreciated.
