So, you can use code for this (here's a sample - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/826992)

Or, if you are returning all items and trying to use an XPath filter to get the right one back - what is the expression you are using? Click the "Edit XPath" button in the formula editor and paste it into a reply and I might be able to give you some tips (or attach your template under Options in a reply and give me hint where to look for the issue).

InfoPath 2007 Query Secondary Datasource

Good afternoon.

Basically I am trying to get a value from a secondary datasource given the value ID.

I wrote a query to join the main and secondary datasource to capture several fields (based on the username), and I was able to get the two main connection items, but not the secondary. If I could figure out how to pass the username from the InfoPath form to the access query I would be able to get all three, or if the queryFields were assessable on the secondary datasource.

When I link the field I need to the field in the secondary datasource, it lists the 1st item in the table. I am trying to filter on the item id, but I cannot figure out how.

I know some C#, but I'm am not sure how to query and populate the InfoPath fields.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

WHEELS
