I am trying to create an InfoPath form that saves the data to a SharePoint list (rather than to a form library). When I went through the initial setup for an InfoPath form to a SharePoint list, I did select the checkbox to "Manage multiple list items with this form". I found that if I did not select this checkbox, none of the repeating fields would be available on the form and I do need a couple repeating fields.

I noticed that every dataField I add to the form is now in it's own repeating section. If I were to add a queryField instead, I found that while the field was not in a repeating section, it also does not populate the field in my SharePoint list. So I've used the dataField list for all fields.

In my InfoPath form, I have added a Dropdown List Box (for "Request Type"), a Date Picker (for "Request Date"), a Person/Group Picker (for "Requestors"), and a Text Box (for "Filename").

Issue #1

In the Requestor's field, I want to be able to choose multiple names, so I selected "Allow multiple selections", "People only", and "All users".

I only want the Filename field to repeat, so I have selected the checkbox that says "Allow users to insert and delete sections" for the Filename field's section only.

When I run the form in SharePoint and enter multiple names in the Requestors field, I find that only one name ends up in the SharePoint list's field. I checked the field in the SharePoint list and noticed that it has "Allow multiple selections" set to "No". If I change it to "Yes" in the list and run the form again, I get an error that says the fields no longer match. If I re-publish the list in InfoPath, I get an error and it changes the field in the list back to "No". I have no idea how to get the list to also allow multiple selections in this field.

Issue #2

When I run the form in SharePoint and click the button to add an addition Filename, I find that all of the fields on my form are now repeating! I can't figure out how to repeat only the Filename field.

Thank you very much for your help!
