Ended up saving the values on submit and then compare the values with Rules. It worked as expected. Thanks once again.

Re: Secondary Data Source Refresh Query

This is the issue with calculated values that include data from a secondary data source. Instead of using a calculated value, use a rule. From reading your post, I'd guess that the rule should go on the amount field - if the amount changes, query the secondary data source and get the percentage, and set another field with that value. Then, you can add some logic to the form so that the amount can't be changed if the form is approved.

Secondary Data Source Refresh Query

Hi,

we are trying to build a commission form and the commission percentages are stored in a separate list. Based on the amount they enter on the form, we have a calculated field that queries the secondary data source (for commission) and grabs the percentage.

All works fine without any problems. The question is , how can we stop this automatic fetch/refresh to stop once the form is submitted and approved. What is happening is that if I change the percentage on the Commission Percentage list and then if I reopen an old submitted form it changes the percentage on the form as well (expected behavior,I guess).

Is there a way we can stop this auto refresh once the form is approved or is there a way we can workaround this please?

Thanks All in advance.

Sam
