Cannot create a Query Data Connection for one Library of a site, but can for very similar ones on same site

I have a site with 2 very similar XML libraries, one of which has at least 1 Query data connection; the other library is the one used for the SharePoint Library Submit DC, but when I try to create a Query DC for it, it cannot get its list of columns ("Encountered an error when retrieving columns: Failed to fetch"). It seems be running afoul of CORS:

What can I do to query this library?

Multi-field Dropdown Value

Suppose I have a dropdown drawing from a table, and I want the values of 2 different fields for the selection, each being stored in the appropriate form field (for example, the name and code number. I'm guessing I cannot do that directly (although I would love to be proven wrong!). If there were a way to access the other fields of the selection, then I could handle this with the appropriate field-assignment rules. If not, I'm left with kind of hacky choices: create a 3rd field that combines the values & then break them up to do the assignments, or re-query that table for other fields. Is there a way to do this that avoids these hacky choices?

Cannot edit filter of dropdowns with empty filter

I added a DropDown element against a dynamic list, but when I try to edit its filter, the control to "Select a field or group..." is disabled. I have other similar DropDowns on the same form whose filters I can edit, EXCEPT for those that do not have a filter specified. Since the ones with filters must have been empty at some point, this has not always been a problem.

Adding field to form & XML Library

I have an XML Library & a form defined for it. I want to add a field to that form and have it show up as a column in the XML library that it posts to. What is the proper sequence of adding it to the form, the library, and the list of promoted properties (or what to use instead of promoted properties) so that the submitted value is displayed in both the form & in the library (and, presumably, be available to access from a Power Automate flow)?

Hiding and unhiding sections of string-backed checkboxes

I have a form with 4 sections arranged in the following manner: a string-backed checkbox is used to determine if a section of other string-backed checkboxes gets displayed or not; specifically, the section is only displayed if the "mater" checkbox is checked. This show/hide functionality works as expected. One of the 4 sections also works otherwise as expected. But with the other 3, toggling any of the "master" checkboxes unchecks all "slave" checkboxes, even in sections not associated with that master. This happens even if I remove the conditional hiding of these sections. These "erasures" happen even when I toggle other checkboxes at the same level as the "masters" (think of them as masters w/o any slaves). Note that the slaves subject to this problem also are not saving their values to the submitted record, which seems too coincidental to not be relevant, but I have no idea how. The slaves in the section that doesn't show this problematic behavior also get properly saved. Any ideas as to what might cause this (these?) issues, or where I might look for the cause of the problem (if not the solution)?

Issue w/ display of Person field

I have files in an XML Forms library which were created by an InfoPath form, which contains a Person field. That field doesn't show up in the Library definition, but the entered value is displayed when a file is re-opened, and I can see the information contained in the file's contents. If I open a file up using a FormsViewer form (derived from that InfoPath form), the person field isn't populated. What can I do to get this field's contents to display?

Open Exisiting record w/ FV form w/o using Extensions

I have a library which currently uses an InfoPath form for data entry and editing. I also have a new FormsViewer form for that same library, which I can use to create new entries. Currently, clicking on an entry's title will open the IP form for that record, and I can have that click use the FV w/ the proper Extensions configuration. I do not want to change that behavior (yet), but would like to open existing records w/ the FV form instead. Is this (hopefully) possible, and if so, how?

Promoted Property Person

I have a library with a Person field, and a corresponding form field. How do I get the form value Promoted to the library record when the form is updated/submitted? I can choose any of the 3 elements of a Person as the source of a Promoted property, and am currently choosing the AccountId, but the value does not appear in the Library record. (I know the value is there b/c it is promoted into a different field, which is of type string.)

FormsViewer time format

Regardless of settings defined in InfoPath Designer for Time field, it always displays in AM/PM format in FormsViewer (i.e. 03:00:00 AM). Is there a way to change it to 24hr format without seconds (i.e. 15:00)? Can someone help me with this?

Error in FormsViewer Diagnostics

When I upload one of my forms to FormsViewer (either on premises, or online), then press "Diagnostics", I always get the following error "Could not scan following documents:". Who can help me to understand what is causing this issue?

People Picker not working in FormsViewer On Prem

After installing FormsViewer on SharePoint 2016 on premises server, I'm not able to get any data from People Picker in forms.

To be sure, that this is not my existing forms issue, I just created a new form that contains only one People Picker field and nothing else. I've specified my server address in SharePoint Server tab of People Picker properties, as described in Workaround document. When I type in search box below people picker, I see "no results found" and nothing else. When I click on Address Book icon, it starts Querying 1-2 seconds, then also no change.

SQL for FormsViewer On-Premise Installation

In the document that explains the steps to install the FormsViewer app in an On-Premise environment I see requirement for instance of Microsoft SQL Server. As in our SharePoint environment we have separate SQL server can we use remote instance for this? And also one more question. We have 2 SharePoint servers. First server has Front-end with Distributed Cache role and second server has custom role that is Application, Search and Reporting Services. On which of these 2 servers do you recommend to install FormsViewer?

FormsViewer and UDCX

I have a form that I am trying to submit to a library on the domain from which it is opened and also update a list (using qRules SubmitToSharePointList) cross-domain. Does FormsViewer support SubmitToSharePointList for cross-domain use? or should I be using a UDCX for that submit? Thank you for your help!

FormsViewer to replace our InfoPath 2007

My company is looking into alternatives to InfoPath 2007, and we have 100s of forms that will require conversion. I came across FormsViewer, and I was very impressed with the functionality which I have read about and saw demoed. My question is, does FormsViewer have a wizard to import InfoPath forms (.xsn), and can these forms being converted if InfoPath was removed from a user's machine?

In our InfoPath forms we have some Visual Basic codes. For example it validates that attachment is doc or pdf and doesn't allow other file types. Or we have code that supports form submission from anonymous site to another site. If we migrate to FormsViewer, will these codes work?

Is Forms Viewer free?

Also, does the latest forms viewer work with SharePoint 2016 on premise? Does it matter if the SharePoint servers are hosted in Azure?

Right now I use InfoPath as a stand alone piece of software. It is not connected to anything and I don't post it to the web. I email my respondents the xsn, they fill it out, and email me back the completed xml. With FormsViewer, can I still do that, or does it HAVE to be posted to the web? If it does have to be posted to the web, will it have the same function limitations like no repeating sections?
