Thank you very much. However when I try to submit the form from SharePoint I get an error message saying "data cannot be submitted as this action would violate cross-domain restrictions". I get this error only when the form is flagged for browser enabled. If this flag is turned off then the form works perfectly fine. I googled few sites and they suggest to change setting in SharePoint Central Admin (Central Admin –> General Application Settings –> Configure InfoPath Form Services Cross-Domain Access for User Form Templates). However our IT staff has confirmed that this setting is already enabled so I am now stuck. Thanks again, Kajal

Re: Infopath Form submit to webservice and SharePoint library

Change your submit options to use rules instead and add rules that submit to both of the data connection.

Re: Infopath Form submit to webservice and SharePoint library

Thanks Don. However I would like to achieve this without DBLX. I have created two data connection in my InfoPath form.

1. Web service Submit: I have written a web service which submits the data to SQL.

2. SharePoint library submit: submits the form to shrepoint library submit

The issue I am currently having is that the form only submits data to one data connections depending on which one is flagged for default. So both works but only one at a time. How can I make them both work?

Thanks again, Kajal

Re: Infopath Form submit to webservice and SharePoint library

Hi Kajal,

I would like to suggest DBXL Web Services which helps you map your InfoPath form data to SQL with a visual mapping tool, best of all, no coding is required. Not only does it help you map data when you submit, you can also create an InfoPath dashboard using QueryDB or Report Builder to query data faster using the web service. You may check the guides we have for SQL Integration and DBXL 2.8. Let me know if you need any assistance to get started.

Regards,

Infopath Form submit to webservice and SharePoint library

I need some advise in designing browser enabled Infopath form which submits the data to SQL (only so that we can report on it) and also publish on SharePoint so all staff can access from there. Is this possible? If so how? Thanks, Kajal
