But I've not got any idea what it is. Office 2013 works on my machine with SharePoint 2010 (and 2007) - running Windows 7 tho.

Re: This feature requires Microsoft internet explorer 7.0 or later

Hi Hilary,

I've gone through the link and verify all options. The only difference i see is that while all SharePoint addons are available, the SharepointOpenXMLDocuments addon is running under "run without permissions section". I've verified that it is running.

The office I have on the running machine is Office 2010 32bit. I thinking this will solve my problem, I've uninstalled 2013 and installed 2010 along with infopath 2010. But sadly the error still persists. On the SharePoint server i have Office 2013 installed which i begin to question if office is the problem.

Thanks again.

Re: This feature requires Microsoft internet explorer 7.0 or later

Sorry - one more suggestion:

For example, on my machine, I've got 15.0.4569.1506 installed. I'm just curious if you have the same version on both the machine that is working and on the server.

EDITED TO ADD: I see now you are saying you do not have the same version installed on both - one has Office 2010 (the machine that works) and one has Office 2013 (the one that doesn't work). Is that correct?

I am using sharepoint 2013 foundation, and Infopath 2010 installed on my local machine. I have it installed on the server (for testing purposes which made no difference). When i open an infopath from on the sharepoint, i get this error message. The entire message reads:

This feature requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or later and a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible XML editor such as Microsoft Infopath.

I kicker is that I have a workstation that actually works. The only difference is that the workstation has Visual studio 2010 installed on. This means that my SharePoint server works fine but perhaps I am missing some patches, updates.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
