You need to have the printer data "such as the make/model of printer, the toner number and location of the printer" stored somewhere.

If you have SharePoint, a SharePoint list would work, if not a simple MS Access database table would work just as well.

Hope that this helps.

L Mac

Assistance with a Request Form

Good afternoon and happy new year to everyone.

I am new here and looking forward in learning from everyone.

I am trying to create a form that will do the following: If a person is running low on toner, they open up my "Toner Request Form"

Once the form is open, they click on a drop down list that has a list of the printer names (ex: Printer001, Printer002, etc). Upon selecting the printer in question, it will auto-populate the remaining information (such as the make/model of printer, the toner number and location of the printer). Is this possible and if so can someone guide me on how to do it? I am using InfoPath 2010 on a Windows 7 environment.

Thank you
