I'm attaching a sample form which adds up the total cost (which you can either display or hide from the canvas). Another field displays the running total which is the total cost subtracted from the initial amount. Hope this helps.

Configuring Running total in a repeating table to deduct from initial amount

I have been tasked with producing an expenses Infopath form with one of the requirements allowing for an individual to be able to input an initial amount into a text box then have a repeating table configured so that they can enter what they have spent this amount on. The table will include a column showing the running total of the expenditure deducted from the initial amount. So for example if £100 is entered into the intial amount box then in the first row of the repeating table they enter that they spent £5 on breakfast the running total column would display £95, then if they enter in the next row that they spent £10 on lunch the running total column would display £85 and so on.
