Figured out to insert footer totals... duh... and i applied your formulas and they are working PERFECTLY!

I don't understand the what the / in front of Amt does .... here is your formula.. sum(Account[AcctNum < 199999]/Amt)

I did that using the Default Value dialog. It's available on the Data tab.

However, I'm already stumped by how inserted the extra rows for Tot All Accts: and Tot 1 Accts:.

The most sensible approach here would be to use a repeating structure instead of individual fields. Please give the attached form a whirl.

Another New Infopath User Formula Question

Good afternoon again,

I have attached a PNG image file that hopefully helps visually.

I am creating an Infopath 2010 form that has a section where users will manually enter Account Numbers and Amounts. Depending on the user, the Account Number values entered could be less than 199999 or there could be a mix between Account Number values that are less that 199999 or more than 199999.

I need formula that will operate similar to an Excel SUMIF formula. Sum the amounts in the 'Amount' column that have Account Number values less than 199999. The formula will ignore Account Numbers that have values higher than 199999.

The summed ‘Amount’ should appear in the Text Box field Tot1Accts. Amount needs to be numeric to use in another calculation on the form.

Formulas are killing me ... is there a place in this forum or on the web that explains how to write formulas?
