If you'd be able to post a sample here of what you have and explain clearly what you'd like instead, I'm somewhat confident that we could show you a way to do it.

Re: Distribute instances of repeating table in 2 views

hey Jimmy

No it's just one repeating table with 12 instances (12 different values that appears on form load), that's why I can't determinate a filter in the second view, because the control is in the first one !

but it's ok I'll stick to my almost-solution, I'll just distribute the 12 rows in the same view.

Re: Distribute instances of repeating table in 2 views

I don't really understand your latest comment. The repeating tables in the two different views are completely separate controls and can have their own filtering, so you would just set up one with the appropriate filter criteria for that particular view, and likewise for the other. Or am I missing something?

Re: Distribute instances of repeating table in 2 views

hey

thanks for replying, but the problem is that when I'm filtring I do not have the option to choose the view !

that's why I just put them all in the same view, and separated them based on criteria (using a repeating section with 2 different default values for the criteria).

Re: Distribute instances of repeating table in 2 views

Hi there,

Unfortunately not very easily in the way you described. Perhaps one of these suggestions could work for you:

1) Create a filter that will show you only a certain number of rows based on criteria. One view could only display row where Type = A for example and then the other view only when Type = B.

2) Haven't tried myself, but maybe you can use preceding-sibling to figure out the row position and do a filter based on that. You can do a quick search online for it and there should be a few blog posts on how to use it.

Hope this helps!

Distribute instances of repeating table in 2 views

Hello

Is there a way to distribute many instances of a repeating table between 2 views in an InfoPath ?
