You might also look into the Promoted Properties dialog on the File->Form Options->Promoted Properties dialog.

Good luck,

Duplicate site columns

I have a form library that has 2 purchase requisition content type forms published to it. They worked fine in the 2007 environment, but after upgrading to SHarePoint 2010 I had t orepublish them and somehow have created duplicate columns. I have republished the forms without promoting any properties which removes the association with the column to the content type, but the columns still remain. I would at the very least, like to know how to republish both content types so that they share the same site columns so that I can display them both in the same view without displaying duplicat fields.
