Share information and ask questions here!enCommunityServer 2007 SP3 (Build: 31118.962)https://www.infopathdev.com:443/forums/thread/65621.aspxThu, 31 Mar 2011 09:19:16 GMT033a2e2d-04e2-4a9d-be01-a4634161eefd:65621jaybranch0https://www.infopathdev.com:443/forums/thread/65621.aspxhttps://www.infopathdev.com:443/forums/commentrss.aspx?SectionID=142&PostID=65621<p>Hi all, </p> <p>I have a slight problem that I&#39;m hoping you can help me with.</p> <p>One of our users has just been upgraded to Office 2010 (with Infopath) and has Infopath Filler and the Designer installed.&nbsp; She works in the Purchasing dept and will be the main person that will receive notifications that new Purchase Forms have arrived from users.</p> <p>However, when she tries to open a newly submitted form (and any existing ones) in the form library, an IE browser window opens and it displays the XML data, not the form in Infopath.</p> <p>It works for everyone else, just not her!&nbsp; </p> <p>I&#39;ve checked the PC and Infopath is currently set to be the default application to open .xml files, but still it opens the form up in a browser window.&nbsp; If I use the drop down menu in Sharepoint and choose &#39;Edit using Infopath&#39; it opens the client, asks me if I want to set it as the default editor, to which I choose &#39;yes&#39;, it then configures the Office installation and then asks for a restart.&nbsp; After all this, it STILL opens the file&nbsp;(which shows XML data)&nbsp;in a browser window.</p> <p>What else do i need to check so she can open up forms like everyone else??</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Thanks for your help</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>James</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
