You can't use Trusted Sites. Change it to Local Intranet and retry it. This is a .NET limitation.

Good luck!

Problem with accessing WebServices in InfoPath 2010 from trusted site

I have a problem with accessing Web Services through InfoPath 2010.

Here is the scenario:

1. There is a library in one of the SharePoint 2007 site
2. This library have added a content type added from parent site
3. This content type is based on InfoPath 2007 template
4. This InfoPath 2007 template is using web services to contact another server to receive information
5. There is no code, only rules and standard functionality used in InfoPath template
6. These web services are called during opening the InfoPath document to fill in
7. Web Service is located on Local intranet server

Problem description:

1. During opening InfoPath document to fill in there is a security message:

           "InfoPath Editor Security Notice
Microsoft Office has identified a potential security concern
Security Warning: Accessing data across domains is not supported for forms opened from the Internet.

This form is located at an Internet location and contains data connections which access data across domains.
Accessing data across domains is not supported in forms opened from the Internet."

2. After closing this message InfoPath is showing next message

        "Failed connection to database"
InfoPath cannot connect to a data source. Should InfoPath continue trying to connect to data source for this form?

The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: [my webservice name here]
InfoPath cannot run the specified query
               Access is denied"

3. Then there is a standard message about data not available due to offline mode

Problem occurs under circumstances:

1. Problem occurs only in some circumstances
2. There were some tests made under conditions:
        a. Library with InfoPath content type installed in site located in server recognised as Trusted server
        b. Library with InfoPath content type installed in site located in server recognised as Local intranet
        c. InfoPath document opened with InfoPath 2007
        d. InfoPath document opened with InfoPath 2010
        e. InfoPath 2007 preview of the InfoPath template in Design mode
        f. InfoPath Designer 2010 preview of the InfoPath template
3. Information below shows dependencies to repeat the problem

Opened from Trusted site with InfoPath 2007 - No problem

InfoPath 2007 preview of the InfoPath template in Design mode - No problem

Opened from Trusted site with InfoPath 2010 - Problem exists

Opened from Local intranet site with InfoPath 2010 - No problem

InfoPath Designer 2010 preview of the InfoPath template - Problem exists

What have been done to resolve problem:

1. Tried to open WebService in web viewer on user's computer - it works
2. Tried different settings for security model in InfoPath form - no change, full trust not tested
3. Tried different settings in Internet Options in Internet Explorer (especially Miscellaneous|Access data sources across domains) in all zones (Internet, Local intranet and Trusted sites) - no change
4. Changing security levels in IE Internet Options in many ways - no change

Discussion:

It seems to me that InfoPath 2010 have something new implemented that blocks access to Web services across domains. I can observe the problem only when I am opening form to fill in from the address recognized as Trusted site and only in InfoPath 2010. When I am opening form from the same site with InfoPath 2007, there is no error.

Is there something I can do with this? This new issue will totally block access to Web Services in my forms since we are migrating to InfoPath 2010.
