I have a form library with 40 columns.I have promoted these columns from the infopath form. One day one user added some columns to the form and published. This causes some issue in the workflow attached.
So he republished the old form but the columns which he created are still shown in the library columns and not map to any content type. Meantime before republishing some users make some entries using form, now the items which entered that time is different w.r.t to current version. So that user is not able to use the forms for these new items which created in between and also i cant able to publish the form , getting this error

"Updating the content type failed"

i am using Infopath 2010
