So - when you say most current, you want the one with the most recent date? Or just the last one in the table?

If you just want the last one, you can paste this in for your default value (open the formula editor and replace your current formula with this)

I'm pretty sure this is just going to be a matter of adding a filter to the data, but it will be easier for me to explain if I see your form. :)

Pull data from row/column in a repeating table for master document

I'm easing my way into coding using InfoPath form/design. I realize that what I'm doing is codeless but I'm trying to progress through self-learning and outside research and helpful people such as you all. I've ran into an issue however when it comes to gathering data from a repeating table.

My issue:

I have a repeating table that provides details about why inventory is added or removed for tracking purposes.

I've created unique views for each one of the items.

Clicking a button takes you to the view that goes to the inventory item.

Once on this page there is a field 'Inventory on Hand' (P1_Inv_Qty). I want this field to be populated with the most current row from a repeating table. This is located in BASE_SX_VIEW, the table inside this group is named BASE_SX_TABLE. I'm trying to get the 6th out of seven columns. This column is titled 'New Qty' (P1_New_Qty).

When I simply request the field the only thing that goes into the Inventory on Hand field is the first calculation. I've tried several different things I've researched and it seems like its a simple answer, I've spent a few days researching now I am resorting to asking for help.

This didn't work when I tried it, but the image below has me trying P1_NEW_Qty = current()
