For forms that are created from Access, you're right - the Main Data Connection populates via one query only.

On the other hand, you can add a second query to your form and copy the values from it to the main data source using rules.

Just add a data connection to query the other table and add rule-action pairs to set the values after the query takes place.

Good luck!

Auto Populate multiple rows using two different access queries.

Hi everyone,

So I have been reading this forum and google searching regarding infopath and access integration, however I have hit a wall in my studies. Just a fyi, I am quite the newbie when it comes to these programs, but I would greatly appreciate any information that may help me reach my goal.

Basically, I am making an info path form that team leaders can fill out in order to sign up their employees for remote and secondary site testing. My goal is to create a form where they can input their corporation ID, and it will auto populate their name and business unit for them by referencing an access query named something like "OPTBusinessUnit." I found out how to do this yesterday from the forum post - http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/8421.aspx - by following Hilary Stoupa's excellent explanation. The problem, however, is that the team leaders will also need to enter their employees corporation ID, and the employees information will auto populate by referencing a seperate query from the same databse named "StaffContactInfo."

I Don't know what I am doing wrong, but infopath seems to only allow me to auto populate either the team leader information OR the employee information. As far as I can tell, this is because I can only use one query as the "Main" data connection, and for the auto populate to work correctly I must use the main connection in conjunction with a secondary connection. Is this correct? Or am I going in the wrong direction?

Again, any help is greatly appreciated and I thank you for your time,
