Recently, I have finished a large project with InfoPath connected to Access db with many tables (21 complex tables with more than 1,000 nodes in total). In one of the forms had similar connection where I ran a query using the data connection and updated the data fields by clicking the submit button. There shouldn't be any problem. Just make sure the Access table is closed or close and open again. In fact, I have quickly tested your one. It's working perfect.

Did you get the message that the form has submitted successfully?

Good luck.
