why dont you create multiple submit connections and at the time of submittion of form determine which submit connection to use depending upon the change type.

One form, multiple sections...submit issue

I have an Access database with one main table and several other tables. On my form, I have a main data section that feeds the main table. I have another section where the user selects a change type and then a section will pop up with fields based on the change type. Each section feeds it's own table in the database. All tables are tied to the main table by the formID which is autonumber in the main table. My problem is that when I open the form, complete the main section, select a change type, complete the change section, and then submit; each table is adding a new row regardless of whether it was the correct change type. Any ideas on how to only submit to the specific table that corresponds to the selected change type?

thanks in advance for any help.
