Also, do you want the forms to be browser based, or will everyone have copies of InfoPath Filler to use to fill out the forms?

Regards,

Steven

How to create an InfoPath Form for data entry to an Access 2010 Database for use on Sharepoint 2010

Hi There, this is my fiirst post to this site and i hope that you can assist me please

My boss recently attended an Access course, from this they discovered that you can make User Forms in Access to get information from databases. This concept impressed him so much that he now wants to apply this to all our data entry and search processes.

I have been asked to create a data submission form using infopath 2010. that seems to be rather straight forward, my problem is i need the data submission form to send and save the entered data to an Access 2010 database, the form is going to be available on Sharepoint 2010.

I have tried searching and reading all last week and i am more confused, there is a template available in InfoPath 2010 for Databases but i cant for the life of me work out what the Qyuery Fields and Data Fields are and how to use them.

Is there a toutorial that walks through step by spet the process of creating a data submission form and how to link this form to Access 2010 to store and save the entered data.

Many Thanks

Simon
