There are two options you can do, A) add a condition to your sum formula (you'll also need to include the quantity column here), or B) use an unused column which will hold the total value per row, which you can easily use for the sum function. Is this approach not possible for you? Please let me know.

Re: Query a Repeating Table with Report Builder

Cool, I love that we now have a competitor to our DBXL Web service suite! :)

Over the years I've tried many InfoPath reporting options with PowerShell scripts, Scheduled Tasks, code behind, and multiple submit data connections. Having a real-time web service to merge XML data for easy query works well and I published that in case it can help others too.

Re: Query a Repeating Table with Report Builder

That worked. When filling out the Report Builder form, the Base Path needs to point to a repeating node in the form. Then, the fields to retrieve must use a path relative to that repeating node.

So if your base path is my:myFields/my:Customers/my:Customer (where my:Customer is repeating)

Then your fields could be:

my:Name

my:TelephoneNumber

my:Address

../../my:Date (this allows you to select a field from outside of the repeating group).

Hope this helps!

Query a Repeating Table with Report Builder

Is it possible to query repeating table data from a form stored in DBXL using the Qdabra Report Builder? I read through the blog post and am able to get all the non-repeating data.

Thanks!

Mike
