Now it takes about the same amount of time to edit an item as it does creating the item. Roughly 5-15 seconds depending how how many items I am creating.

Is there any concerns with setting useWebServices to true on form load.

Do you mind trying a small experiment? First - is this form on Office365? If not, there is a node in the QdabraRules data source named "useWebServices" - it is in the "Form" group. Can you add a rule to set that field to true prior to executing your SubmitToSharePoint list rule? Then the form will use the lists.asmx web service to create / update the items instead of the SharePoint object model (which is what it is currently using if that field is not set to true). I'd like to know if you have the same behavior.

Is this a fairly simple form? No chance some other logic is also firing when Submit command does on items with a list item id?

Re: Updating a list using SubmitToSharePointList is slow

It's a browser form.

Re: Updating a list using SubmitToSharePointList is slow

Hi - is this a browser or a filler form?

Updating a list using SubmitToSharePointList is slow

Hello,

I have a form that submits data to a list using the SubmitToSharePointList and that is working correctly. I'm also able to update the item in the list if something changes in the form. However, when it updates an item, it takes a lot longer than what it takes to create the item.

For example, if I create one line item in a list from the form, it takes 1-2 seconds. If I then update that same item through the form, it takes roughly 10-15 seconds. The time multiplies depending on the number of items I need to update.

Creating new items works perfectly and in a timely manner. Is there something I am doing wrong that is causing the update to take longer?

Thanks for your help in advance.
