It was a quick and dirty solution but it is a solution nonetheless:

1. The data connection for my submit to SharePoint Library automatically names my InfoPath form using the formula "concat(ID, Type, SubmitDate)" which uniquely identifies the form.

2. I added a text field in the form whose value get calculated after the form is initially submitted and an ID is assigned to the case.

3. Because the URL for the SharePoint Library is known and unique, and the name of the form that is added to the library is also known and unique, it is simply a matter of combining the library's URL plus the name of the form. I used another concat formula to add the URL of the Library and the form name to identify the URL for the form in the library: concat("SharePointLibraryURL", concat(ID, Type, SubmitDate), ".xml")

4. I then mapped a new field in my SharePoint List to receive this form URL so that I can access the form via hyperlink from the library and call it from an email generated by workflow.

I must note that this requires submitting the form twice; once to generate the ID (and form name) and once to update the SharePoint list item with the form's URL. It's an additional click, but it works.

SharePoint Library URL and qRulesLink?

Hello,

I have an InfoPath form that is submitting data to a SharePoint List and an attachment added to the form to a SharePoint Library. I have successfully used the SaveToSharePoint function to generate and identify the URL for the attachment file in the qRulesLink field in my InfoPath form. I have mapped the qRulesLink field to a field in my SharePoint List so that I can access the attachment via hyperlink when viewing the item's data in the SharePoint List.

I have a separate button that submits the attachment to its document library, and the flow of the form requires the user to save the attachment prior to being able to submit the form. This allows the URL for the attachment to be created and displayed in the form prior to submitting the data to the SharePoint List.

I have added a Submit using a data connection rule to the same button that submits the form's data to the list. This new rule submits a copy of the InfoPath form itself to separate SharePoint document library than the attachment files.

I want to be able to duplicate the process of identifying the URL for the InfoPath form that is submitted to its document library and display the URL in a field in the form itself exactly the same way that the qRulesLink field displays this information for the attachment added to the form.

I am hoping that because I have the rule ordering for the button that submits the InfoPath form to its document library and the form's data to the list to submit the form to the library first that a URL can be populated into a field in the form before the second rule of submitting the data to the list runs.

If that is not possible I can always create another button to handle these submission separately.

How would I go about identifying the URL for the InfoPath form that is submitted to the SharePoint Library and displaying the URL in the form itself?

Thank you for your help!!!
