You could temporarily display these IDs in the view.

Then also check whether the ID fields still have a value when the form is reopened and the user makes changes.

If the IDs are blank or at any point become blank, then the data would be written as new list items.

Let us know what you find in your troubleshooting. Thank you.

Need help with browser form

Hi all,
I have an expense report form that I created using IP 2007. The form is admin approved and is used as content type in a MOSS 2007 document library. It saves when the user uses a SAVE button. So far it works fine. The form also has a SUBMIT button. After the user saves the form, hits the SUBMIT button and the form sends data from 2 repeating tables (Reimbursable and Non-reimbursable expenses) to 2 different SP custom lists, one for the report data and another with the detail from the repeating table. In order to accomplish this I used qRules 4.2 SubmitToSharePointList. It works just fine but I noticed that if the user makes changes and hit the SUBMIT button to update, it creates duplicate rows in the report and details lists.
I created a ReportID field in the form that I used in the report data and the 2 repeating tables. I marked those as ID in the mapping tool.
Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,
Gus
