Depending on your upgrade settings, existing forms would be upgraded to use this latest template.

But wouldn't you be able to download the latest XSN from central admin? If the xsn is already in the SharePoint farm, then downloading the xsn from that location should be easy.

Hope this helps!

Error when uploading an admin approved template

I have several admin approved templates that have been created to utilize the SubmitToSharePoint list function. Due to a hardware failure I had to go back to a previously saved copy, make the updates, and then re-publish.

when deploying to the SharePoint farm I'm am receiving the following error:

An unexpected error has occurred while verifying the form template. There is already a more recent version of this form template on the server. Either remove the existing form template from the server or increase the version of the new form template and try again.

I have tried to locate where i can change the version number, but have been unsuccessful.

If I delete the form template, and then republish, will all of the previously completed forms based on this template be lost?

thanks,
