Looking at your mapping, I'd expect it to be submitting to SOURCING then to SOURCING SUPPLIERS. After the submit to SOURCING, the ShP ID should be populated, which would then be used for the Item Number in the SOURCING SUPPLIERS. If there were an error on the submit to SOURCING, I could see there being an error with the submit to SOURCING SUPPLIERS. Are any of the other columns in SOURCING SUPPLIERS lookups? Partner Code, perhaps?

Re: Qrules submitting to a parent and child list at the same time

Hello ErnestoM,

Thank you for your reply. This issue somehow resolved itself which is nice but not that reassuring :)

If I run into similar problems further down the road I'll try your method, thank you!

Re: Qrules submitting to a parent and child list at the same time

Hi Jonas,

The parent item always gets created before the child.

If you'd like, you can use /mappingName= to map to one list (parent) then execute a second command (again using /mappingName) to map to just the child list.

Want to try that out to see if it helps?

Qrules submitting to a parent and child list at the same time

Hi there,

I am a qRules novice and have been reading the excellent walkthroughs about qRules 4.2. Instead of customers and orders I have two lists, one with commodities that needs to be sourced and another with potential suppliers for that commodity. At the end of the first walkthrough Hilary submits a new post that creates items in both lists. When I try to do the same I receive the following error:

"There is at least one lookup column that enforces a relationship behavior and contains values that reference one or more non-existent items in the target list."

Which makes sense, but when I open the northwind template I see that it has the same setup between orders list and the customer list with enforced relationship behavior. Can I somehow decide which of the two list items should be submitted first so that I can create the parent item before the child items?
