Data entry field in the Infopath repeating table =

(row1) 10

(row2) 20

(row3) 30

Following promotion to SharePoint the values are "merged" =

102030

I assume there is an embedded newline char between each value as you can then retrieve the data into a text box in InfoPath and format it for line breaks and everything lines up to simulate multiple rows of data.

Thanks for the idea on the Insert command, I'll go do some homework and post a follow-up question should the need arise.

CopyTable won't be the way to go here, that's for sure. What does the data returned from SharePoint for the merged fields look like? Are the items separated by semicolons? Off hand, I'm thinking you might be able to leverage a few other commands to do this along with some standard rules... for example, you could use substring-before to get the item before a ";", then insert a row into your table for the new item and set its values using the Insert command ... You'd want to replace your original string with the new string (that is, with the first item removed) and then do the same for the second item, and so on... Does that make any sense?

CopyTable question.

Helo all,

I have a working form that contains a repeating table whose field values are successfully promoted to sharepoint using the "merge" option.

Now I need to speed up data entry time by allowing users to filter the existing forms and populate these same repeating table fields in the new form based upon the existing form's promoted column values.

I have researched the CopyTable Qdabra Qrules command, but I do not see how I can configure this command to populate the new form's repeating table fields via the secondary data connection as the promoted data is no longer in true repeating tabular form, but simple a series of delimited text values.

Can anyone tell me is even possible and, if so, please send me a link or an example? Thanks!
