It can be non-repeating. We talk about repeating attachments in documentation because it is a common scenario.

As far "upload other metadata with the
attachment": this can be done, but takes some manual work. The mapping tool
doesn't display libraries, so you have to manually create your mapping. You then
have to find a way to get back the SharePoint Id for your item - if on ShP
2010, that gets easier. Then you can use SubmitToSharePointList to update the
metadata. If you'd like our assistance, please let us know via support at qdabra dot com.

Thanks!

SaveToSharePoint, why do we need a repeating File attachment field?

I have successfully been able to use the SaveToSharepoint, with multiple file attachment fields, that are not repeating, by using separate rules for each attachment field. Is there a reason why they indicate that if mulitple file attachment fields are in a form, that the file attachment field must be repeating? Is there a finite number of rules allowed per form/element? I have 159 attachments in the form, all file attachments.

Is there any other way to pass other field information along with the attachment, when it gets uploaded into the document Library, other than appending somthing to the title (by using the '/name=' parameter), that then can be parsed into calculated columns? Is there a '/parameter' or '/aggregate' paramter I can place on the end of the set attribute command of the SaveToSharePoint qRule? We want to stay with document library versus a list, for all the out-of-box functionaility accorded to document libraries. It would be nice if other metadata was uploaded with the attachment.
