I'm going to file a feature case for us to rename files with illegal characters -- look for this in an upcoming release!

You can get a list of illegal characters here: http://www.wssdemo.com/Pages/characters.aspx

qRules illegal file names?

I was just curious if there was a list of characters that, when in the file name, cause the link to not work when submitting via SharePoint.

We have our infopath forms on SharePoint where the clients would attach the file and press the button to link (using the SaveToSharePoint linking). The emails sent from the form go to a ticketing queue and work like a champ.

We have recetly noticed that if a # symbol is in the file name then the link in the tickets does not work, it returns `An unexpected error has occured'.

I can understand how this type of thing can be a known issue. I just wanted to verify that and see if there is a list of characters that, when in the file name being attached using qRules would cause this sort of error.

Thanks!
