Office 2007 does not by default install all required components for InfoPath 2007 to work with managed code.

To install the PIA:

1. Navigate to the InfoPath Help menu and select Detect and Repair for InfoPath 2003 or Office Diagnostics for InfoPath 2007 to repair your InfoPath installation.

2. Download and install the Primary Interop Assemblies (PIA) for your version of Office:

Office 2003: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=3c9a983a-ac14-4125-
8ba0-d36d67e0f4ad&displaylang=en

Office 2007: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=59daebaa-bed4-4282-
a28c-b864d8bfa513&DisplayLang=en

3. Run the InfoPath / Office setup again.

Installing the PIA does not always work. In those stubborn cases, the solution is to go thru the Office installation and make sure to install all components of Infopath.

Problem with QRules Trial

Hi There, I pulled down the trial this morning and and installed it - success! I was going to walk through the tutorial. I started with a blank form and saved it. Then ran qrules and injected it... success! But when I try to open the document in design mode after injecting I get the following:

Form template: file:///C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\taylronJ\My%20Documents\Tutorial.xsn
InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code.
The required version of the Microsoft .NET Framework is not installed on your computer, or the InfoPath Primary Interop Assembly (PIA) is not registered. Use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel to make sure that the required version of the Microsoft .NET Framework is installed. Or install it using Windows Update and run the Setup program again to confirm that the corresponding version of the .NET Programmability Support is installed, or contact your system administrator.

I have confirmed that .net 2.0 is in fact installed and working.. not sure about the PIA it speaks of... any other suggestions?
