i have repeating table and need to loop through its value in Workflow so i can save it to database but don't know how to accomplish this

any insight?

Hello,

You want to append the row for each workflow steps? Then you have to like this,

1. In onLoad you have to add one empty node to that repeating node (If this form is not first time -> !XDocument.IsNew)

2. While submitting the form you have to set the value for newly added repeating node.(Make sure that we are adding node in previous step in the position of first)

3. Submit the form to database.

Wich Software do you use to create the workflow? Nintex, SharePoint Designer,...

I know in Nintext you can use an xPath to search in the Current Item, this way you can loop through the repeating table,  I didn't find a solution to update the repeating table data..

i use Visual studio.net 2005 to create the workflow..

still not sure how to do it :(

How do you want to implement the workflow for this exactly I am not getting?

To implement workflow, In that repeating table we have to use one field for work flow status and that value we have to update using rules or code before submitting the form to database.

Can you give more detail on your requirement?

yes, i'm using code inside infopath that loop through the table in XML format..can't show the snippet, it's in my office (right now i'm at home)

the link u gave me, yes it can work well if i'm using windows form mode..but it need to use Web browser mode..from my point of view, form from SQL database is need to use windows mode right?

How do you want to implement the workflow for this exactly I am not getting?-> why i need to loop to repeating table is i want to reduce code inside infopath, i want the infopath just display the information without using any code inside it then inside workflow, it will loop through the repeating table and save the value to DB

i want the extra coding only from workflow...
