    Editing multiple forms!

Thanks ahead of time for any help coming my way...

I'm just starting up with infopath here and so far we got a handful of forms with the same logo. Just wondering, is there a way to edit the logo and have it reflect on all the forms? Or do I need to update each form individually? Thanks!

Hi Michael and welcome to our forum!
It depends on what you mean by "form". Sometimes we use form to mean the XML and sometimes we use it to mean the XSN. If you are talking about instances, and the logo was added as an image to the XSN, you can change the XSN and it will update for all forms. If you have the same logo in multipe XSNs, you should change it to be a link to a domain resource and then update the image pointed to by the link. If you are attaching a different image to every XML instance, you won't be able to easily update this (although you could use a bulk upload tool like ours to modify more than one XML file at once). Cheers

Edit the XSN that the forms are using. You can find this by saving the forms

    Re: Editing multiple forms!

Amazing what you can find with google...a thread from 3+ years ago that pertains to a question I have today! :)

At my company we have a sharepoint library with all the different images/logos that we use and I'm trying to basically do the same thing as the original poster. I'm clicking on insert picture and from there paste the link to the image, however this inserts a copy of the picture, it doesn't actually point back to it. I don't see another way to do this, could someone assist please? Using InfoPath 2007 and I'm editing the template files (XSN).

     Thanks!
