    using a large database in InfoPath Forms Services

    I have a fairly complex InfoPath from that uses a large SQL database as a secondary connection (the database has several thousand rows). I added it to a SharePoint site with full-trust using Administrator-approval. The form works great when the user opens it in InfoPath, but when it is opened in the browser, we keep getting that pesky error: "An error occurred accessing a data source." Looking at the server logs, the problem has to do with the Database Connection Response size. When I change the maximum response size under Configure InfoPath Forms Services in Central Administration and try to open the form, the computer runs way slow and warnings come up about the computer becoming unresponsive if the script isn't stopped. I'm assuming all this has to do with the size of the database that the server is trying to load.

    Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions?

    Thanks =)

    Large dbs are an issue.

     Ideally you can use a web service instead that can query the records instead of loading them all.

    You can maybe reduce the number of fields that are being loaded.
