    Hey Daniel,

So where is the data you want to use for the autofill located?  From the looks of your form I hope it is in a database. It may actually be several tables since it looks like you are combining clients, contractors, companies, and invoicing all in the form.  You may want to look at the Database Accelerator download since it allows you to interact with your SQL data directly both into your form and when the form is saved to update your SQL records for interface and reporting. You are right the first thing is to get the data you need loaded into your form via a data connection(s).

Then yes you can use a dropdown to select a row ID or something else and then transfer the corresponding data from the list to your form.

We have some similar form templates, called Project Tracker, that you may be interested in a demo.

OK so you tried installing the Database Accelerator on your PC?

It will work on Vista but it is a bit more difficult. If you have a server environment that is what I would recommend. However you can install it on Vista. You need to make sure you install IIS. Then .Net. Then SQLExpress, Then DBXL.

From a testing standpoint it does not matter too much where you have it. Obviously if it is on your computer that might make it difficult to test from other people's computers.

Once you have a place to put your data then you can have a form which interacts with it.

If you would like to set up a time to see a demo or help you out send me an email by clicking on my name.
