Hi All, I am using infopath 2013. I have a column mulitselect checkboxe, which has around 60-70 options. I would like to provide a search box which would sort the data and filter it based on the entry. I have tried this and it works, but when the user types different characters in the search box the previously selected entries and gone. Thanks for your help.

I think using an "or" in the filter so that either items match the search text or they are already selected might do this. See attached - right click the link, save the file locally. Right click the saved file, select Design and then you can preview, take a look at the filter, etc.

I have some changes for this requirement. Is it possible to achieve the said functionality without the query being case sensitive? Now when I enter something in the textbox, for example N - only items starting with N are shown. But incase I type n, the result is empty. Thanks for your help.

This requires the use of the Translate function, which is sort of a pain. I'll fix up the sample form tomorrow to demo how. :)

Hi Hilary, I am unable to open the sample form, error: Forms that require the domain permission level contain features that access information on a network, such as data connections, linked images, and code. I am downloading the form and opening it, is there something else I have to take care of?

Right click the downloaded form and select "design". Or open InfoPath Designer, and open the template in design mode from there.
