count(preceding-sibling) can get it into my head and cant make it work

     Hi all,

I am trying to understand how count(preceding-sibling) works. Everything I did just throw me an error and the formula wont work at all. Could someone more experienced help me to build it and maybe I'll understand how it works.

    So, this is my structure:

All of this is coming from a SQL Database apart from the last 4 fields but they are irrelevant to my case and not used at all.

I have repeating section on ASL_Finished_Good, then inside repeating section on ASL_Raw_Material, then inside repeating section on ASL_Supplier and again inside repeating section on ASL_Caught_Farmed.

In the top repeating section (ASL_Finished_Good) i have a calculated label that shows me the position() of that entry. What I'm trying to do is get that same position number in all of the rest of the repeating sections inside the outer one.

    Is that possible?

Sorry, I cant see the image so this is the field structure:

    -myFields

        +queryFields

        -dataFields

            +d:ASL_Finished_Good

                   +ASL_Raw_Material

                           +ASL_Supplier

                                      +ASL_Caught_Farmed

    my:userName

    my:emptyLabel

    my:labelYES

    my:labelNO
