    Repeating Section Merge Data

    Hi Group,

I have created a repeated section on my form.  I know you can merge repeating tables, but can you merge repeating sections.  Then I would like my output to resemble as shown below on my SharePoint Library:

    Name: Joe Smith

Address Line 1: 123 Rose St

    City: Jacksonville

    St: FL

    Zip: 32456

    Name: John Smith

    Address Line 1: 125 Parkplace

    City: Athens

    St: GA

    Zip: 30245

Is there a solution that I could implement for this process?

So - the merge option for promoting properties works for repeating fields (it doesn't care if they are bound to a table or a section) but it merges each field separately. You could try adding another field to your repeating group in the schema (doesn't have to show on the form) that concats all your values together - then promote that field as merged instead.... but I think you may run into a character limit issue, since more that 256 chars will be truncated....

Yes, I agree. The field will definitely be more than 256 characters. Is there a way to only pick one field on the repeating section and merge it any time a new table is created.  I uploaded a copy of my IP.  I would like to merge my Requested Facility, Date/Time Fax Sent Out, and decision to one field from the Transfer Out View.  Then any additional items added, to be added to that field.

You can add a field to your repeating section in the data source and use a concat to combine the values for each row in that field. Promote that field. When you promote, select Merge for the operation.
