Invalid Field Name when Activating an InfoPath form in Central Admin

    Invalid Field Name when Activating an InfoPath form in Central Admin

     I have a form that has been in use for years with very recent updates.  Today in my dev environment, I deactivated the form's feature in Central Admin and now I can't activate it.  The error that I get is:

      Invalid Field Name with field's GUID

    Using powershell I've determined that the field with that GUID doesn't exist but that a fieldlink does.  I have removed the fieldlink, uploaded the form template in Central Admin but I get the same error.

     I have found the offending field in my promoted properites and I have it's displayname. 

    Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

     Well, I deleted the Content Type, reuploaded the form and I was successful in re-activating the form.  Everything looks good except my confidence level.
